What the calculators do with your inputs

Nothing leaves your device. Every calculation runs in your browser — there is no server round-trip for a number — so the dimensions, materials and prices you enter are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.

The one exception is one you control. When you copy a share link, your inputs are encoded into the URL so the page can be restored. That link only goes wherever you choose to send it, and we do not receive a copy. Note that anyone you send it to can see those values.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful and where people get stuck. It records the usual aggregate measures — pages viewed, approximate location at country or region level, device type, and how visitors arrived.

A small number of custom events are also recorded: that a calculator was opened, that it produced a result, that the unit system was switched, and that a result was shared. These carry the identity of the calculator, the unit system and the kind of result produced. They never carry the values you entered. That constraint is written into the code rather than left to convention.

Google Analytics sets cookies on your device. You can block them with your browser settings or a content blocker, or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Nothing on this site stops working if you do — analytics is not required for any calculator to run.

What is not here

• No accounts, sign-ups, logins or newsletters.
• No advertising and no ad networks.
• No affiliate links and no lead-generation or quote forms.
• No selling or sharing of personal information. There is none to sell.
• No third-party scripts other than the analytics described above.

If advertising is introduced later, this page will be updated before it appears, and the ad provider’s own data practices will be named here.

Hosting and logs

Pages are served as static files by a hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs — including IP addresses — for security and operational purposes. These are ordinary web server records, not a profile of you, and we do not use them to identify individuals.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information a site holds about you, and to object to its processing. Because this site does not hold accounts or personal records, in practice there is very little to act on — but if you want to ask, write to hello@nosecondtrip.com.

Children

This site is intended for people planning building work and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the foot of this page changes with it. Material changes — a new category of data, or a new third party — will be described rather than folded in silently. Questions go to the contact page.
